Devastating News for Josh has the
Potential to end the Show
It has been announced on Facebook and the official Big Brother site today that Josh has left the Big Brother house due to a devastating personal tragedy. His older brother Toby, 32 has died suddenly.
This is awful news and goes way beyond the realms of some silly TV show. Josh has obviously left the house to be with his family.
Josh, our sympathies go out to him and his family
No details on how the tragedy occurred have been released on the Big Brother web site and they have suspended live updates. But it is believed that Toby suffered a suspected heart attack.
It is hard to see how the show could recover from this disaster. Josh was one of the lead characters in the house and probably one of the favourites to win the game. But playing silly games seems totally pointless in view of this real life family heartbreak.
I would imagine all games have been suspended in the house and his friends in there will be suffering too, on his behalf.
There is really no more to report until the producers decide how or if they are going to proceed. Our sympathies go out to Josh and his family and friends.

I don’t think Josh was necessarily a ‘favourite to win’ and I don’t think that it has the potential to end the show. They have cancelled the eviction, the task this week will probably be ended and obviously Josh left. Next week they will soldier on because that’s what people do, especially people who didn’t know the person who passed themselves.
To think that it would end the show and hang over everyone’s heads like a dark cloud is odd.
Thanks for you comment Kizz, but as Josh had never been up for eviction and everyone seems to like him, that would make him a favourite in my book. And a death in the immediate family of one of the contestants will cast a pretty dark cloud over the show. What do you think they are likely to show tonight as today’s action? House mates sitting around feeling miserable? It certainly would be inapproprite to continue the divided house task.
They probably won’t cancel the show as Channel 9 and the producers have so much invested in it, but it is going to take some major spin to make it the jolly game that it was before, don’t you think?
I forgot to mention, I have also noticed that they have taken down the housemates photos and bios on the official site today. There is no explanation there.
